First 2 minutes of a film
The genre of my film is a supernatural thriller with the target audience of 12 year olds and anyone above that age, as some scenes can be of a scary nature, yet not terrifying enough to just be for ages 15 and up.
The film opens up with a close up on a young girl's feet showing that the character is running, it then cuts to the girl's face looking horrified and out of breath which is the first sign of panic and what the genre of my film is. These shots give the audience the brief knowledge that the young girl is running away from someone or something, she then tries to seek comfort and safety in her house by running straight to it in a frenzy. As soon as she gets home she goes upstairs and barricades herself in her room by grabbing a chair a hurriedly placing it behind the door and under the door handle. In the next shot she then hides under her bed in hopes that she has escaped the grasps of this mysterious being or form. Little does she know, the unknown figure is in the room with her and grabs her leg from behind. The next thing the audience will see is an establishing shot of the girl slouched against a tree stump in a forest. Following this will be a be a point of view shot from the secretive figure looking at the girl, who finally wakes up sees the strange physique just looking at her although she cannot see their face or identify therefore so she starts to shout "What? What! Wh-who are you?" Then the screen fades to black and the title sequence appears.
